He's good but he's cocky. Waiting for someone to catch a pass like OBJ when Richy's covering him.

Definitely the best currently in the NFL but not all time. Sherman is a beast without a doubt, I hope he teaches Cary Williams and he becomes better. People don't like Sherman because he's cocky but really, if you know you're the best who cares lol. It's not like he's saying "Yo Revis you suck" or anything of that sort.

He's top two at worst. It all depends on the scheme in my opinion. Sherman is the best at what he does and Revis is the best at what he does, too. Sherman is great at protecting the left side of the defense. Revis is great at following the number one receiver. I like Sherman's physicality and that probably puts him higher than Revis but either way, no QB is going to throw towards their direction and they're both talented.

The way Seattle's Cover 3 Scheme works is for long, lengthy, and Physical corners to play the outsides of the field (Richard Sherman, Cary Williams, Jeremy Lane, and Tharold Simon) while one safety covers the middle like a linebacker (Kam Chancellor) and for the other safety to cover anything deep but to also run wild like an animal and hit anything it see's (Earl Thomas) It got them the No.1 Defense so why should Sherman travel around the field when he has the most Interception, passes defended, and less completions to his side while being thrown to the least?

I think he is the best in the game today.
He is a cocky player but he is still very good.

I'm not saying that Sherman should follow the number one receiver. Like I said, it depends on the scheme. I'm not saying one scheme is better than the other, it all depends on the personnel the team has. No contending team is going to simply change their whole entire scheme just so that it can fit one player who they believe is amazing. That being said, if you're the Seahawks, you would pick Sherman as your top corner. But if you're another team like the Cardinals, you would pick Revis as your top corner. Seahawks play zone and Cardinals play man. It's a waste to pick a player that doesn't fit your scheme cause then you would be wasting their talent.
What I am saying is that Sherman is not going to be completely shutting down number one receivers by following them all around the field, Revis is the corner that fits that mold more. Can Sherman follow a receiver? Yes, but he will give up more completions playing that way. Sherman isn't a bad corner, Revis isn't a bad corner, but it's not like either are the ultimate corner of all time that can do every single thing possible as a corner. Otherwise, Sherman would've had much better combine times and he wouldn't have been a fifth round pick. He was a fifth round pick cause he had average speed and solid hands which is a receiver mold, not defensive back.

I think hes the best but i also think it depends heavily on the team you have around you as a defensive player as to just how well you can perform, and sherman has had pretty good defensive teams surrounding him

In today's game with the rules, there will most likely never be another "Shutdown" corner, Sherman and Revis are as close to shutdown as we will get. A man corner will give up much more completions than a zone corner but a man corner will have more opportunities to create turnovers.
