Im looking to build/purchase a gaming PC that can run games such as minecraft/csgo games smoothly with hardly any problems, my budget is around £300-500 pounds, but the cheaper the better, any help or advice is appreciated!

This is massively overkill however this is a well tidy mITX system that will fit anywhere!

Edit: It's worth noting that by staying on Haswell rather than Skylake Intel processors, you can pick CPU's up on ebay for cheeeeeap. So an i5 used would set you back around 100 quid. Also its almost 2016 so you must have an SSD.

Need a monitor?
Mouse?
Keyboard?
Speakers/headset?
Anything else?

I guess we're assuming no peripherals are required then.

I'd get this;

370 will do fine, but I'd suggest spending the extra £15 for a GTX 950, this will put you at the top end of your budget though;

Nice case with a window, nice SSD and an HDD for mass storage. Nice little cooler. Loads of room for upgrades.

£4 over but will handle more than just Minecraft and CSGO if you decide to play more demanding games aswell.

For example if you bought the CPU used (like I have numerous times) then you save so much money and can buy a system like this. Its still massive overkill but its very nice and will even handle AAA title games.
