Been seriously depressed lately with the stress level of college and the things it brings outside of classes (internships, relationships, etc). Also been recovering from a very unfortunate porn addiction, and it feels terrible. Withdrawals are terrible and have honestly been the greatest challenge I've ever faced. Anyone been going through pretty crappy stuff?

Just gotta find something you really enjoy doing. Many people will get hobbies to help with stress and depression such as going to the gym, playing a sport, walking outside, bird watching, and a lot more. Just find something you like to do and get out there.

Shit just hang in there dawg we all got bad times. College is stressful asf. I can't relate to a porn addiction but you'll overcome it man. Just keep pushing through life, and keep your head up. Keep your eye on the main goal in life and just stay motivated. Hit me up in the PMs if you wanna talk further man. I gotchu

Not doing too well academically this year, so it's pretty stressful. Makes me upset knowing I can do better but I'm not.

Thanks man, need to see someone say that. I try my best to say no, but the thought just repeats itself against my will. Best trick I've found comes from one of the greatest people I know on the internet, Andy Frisella. He constantly talks about the power of visualization. I legit just realized I've been visualizing success in other areas of my life, but not in this thing that's been controlling me for years. I'm looking forward to seeing how effective it is in this part of my life, as its my most powerful tool when it comes to willpower. Ultimately the trial I am facing here will pay dividends in the future,as long as I continue to take the actions I'm taking. Obviously thinking out loud at this point, but it's something I seriously need to do. Can't talk about it with anyone I know, because for some reason I told my friends I used to have an addiction. Pretty sufficiently screwed me over. Regardless, I am very slowly making progress. Posts like these give me important boosts I need every few months to know that going through until the end truly is the only option. That, or a metaphorical death, a wasted life spent focusing on the things that bear poisonous fruit; a life destined for an utterly awful existence where moral ambiguity reigns. That's what kills me, telling myself I won't, then doing it minutes later. It's awful, I hate it. Just have to keep growing through it, it's my only option.
