Was on my PC last night when Discord would not recognize that I was talking. Decided to give it a restart to fix & then I was met with a black screen during booting. Noticed the VGA debug light was solid red so I did some research & lots of people said resetting the CMOS fixed it.
Reset the CMOS by shorting the Jbat pins. Was met with the same black screen but after about a minute, I was thrown into the BIOS & noticed the VGA light was now off. BIOS showed all of my drives but would not show them under boot priority. Tried switching from UEFI to CSM to boot with no luck. Decided to unplug all drives except for the one with windows installed **at this time I also reseated the RAM & GPU** (SSD C drive). The SSD finally showed as a bootable drive. Then I was met with the black screen and endless blinking underscore in the top left. Did some more research and found people saying that it could be that the Windows files on the C drive somehow got corrupted & by using a USB with Windows on it, you can repair the files on the C drive. I haven't gotten to try the USB yet but plan to first thing after work today. If the USB is able to repair the files on the C Drive but it still won't boot, would that mean the SSD died? & if the USB with Windows on it does not fix it, what should I try next? Thank you for any & all help!
