EA denies Dead Space 4 'axe' despite missing sales targets

In February, it was believed that Dead Space 4 had been axed due to it's predecessors not doing well regarding their sales.

However, recently a representative for Electronic Arts has claimed that the rumor regarding Dead Space 4 is not true. The British representative initially declined to comment when approached by sources.
EA has not fully disclosed whether or not it has closed the Visceral Montreal studio.

Meanwhile - Dino Ignacio, a UI lead at Visceral Games, has denied the rumor on his personal Twitter account.

He said:
"The reports of our death were greatly exaggerated. Please stand by."

Expect-Originality I feel as the series is slowly dyeing down. I remember when the first Dead Space came out, everyone thought it was extremely scary. Now it's more action and it's lost that feel to it.


I think companies want more sales these days, they want bigger and better of their games, when really they are just ruining them.


take a look at MLB 2k. MLB 2k12 and 2k13 are almost the EXACT same games, the only differences are updated rosters + music and cover athlete. proves that companies only care for sales nowadays


Very true, the thing is there's nothing new they can add to the games, but they still release them no matter what.


That is true, but I find most sporting games like that. They seem the exact same every year to me, I'm talking about big titles like COD, AC. It's all for the money now, not the game.

Me either, just as long as they take a while to make it as scary as possible. That's the point of dead space games.

Very true, the thing is there's nothing new they can add to the games, but they still release them no matter what.

I think cause the "scare" factor of the first one is gone. I will admit, it's still scary at times, but not anything like the first one.

It's because no one says anything about it. We just continue to buy and buy and that's it. They keep doing it.
