Twinbeard, the community manager for Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios, has revealed on Discord that new mission types are on the horizon.

A user asked if there is “any news on new content, patches, reworks on the DSS this month or next,” to which Twinbeard stated, “We almost never talk about upcoming content beforehand unless it’s already announced”. He then added that the studio is “absolutely” making new content, and relied to another user with, “I can almost guarantee that more mission types are coming, sooner or later.”

Elsewhere, the community manager also dispelled any notion that new content has been delayed due to DSS issue: AFAIK no patch or upcoming content has been delayed because of the DSS launch.”

Helldivers 2 was released for PS5 and PC in February and remains one of the biggest releases of the year. Recently, a dataminer uncovered evidence of a bunch of new emotes that may be coming to the game, and Twinbeard recently suggested that it would take Sony and Phil Spencer to ‘duke it out‘ for the game to come to Xbox formats.
