Armor 2.0 is set to offer a middle ground between the regenerative shields of Payday 2 and the newer, more loadout-reliant system. Most fans would agree the hybrid is a good idea, considering how Payday 2 was 10 times as popular as Payday 3 at one point and the third installment's recent adaptive armor was a hit among players. As a result, fans are eager to get their hands on the new, more customizable shield system, so the news that there's still no firm release date may be frustrating for some players.
