Wii U gets a minor firmware update

4.7
Nintendo has released another firmware update for the Wii U covering improvements to stability and usability.

The latest update now allows the Wii U to connect to the Nintendo Network while in standby mode, in order to download SpotPass data, system and software updates.

Software updates will install while the Wii U is off, but system updates will complete installation when the console is switched on.

The patch notes point to another update to the system that is expected sometime between late September and early October. This update is said to be larger, with plans to further increase the speed of the system, while adding new features. Details of these new features remain unknown at this time.

NinjaWizard Surprised they still care for this system.

I mean, it isn't a popular console in positive feedback, but it still is their latest console out

This is a part of their market right now. Not caring about the system would cost them so much money in the end.
