Microsoft to sell black & purple Xbox 360 chrome controllers in March

Microsoft has announced two new chrome controllers for Xbox 360, coming in black and purple flavours.

Microsoft’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb revealed the pads over on his blog last night.

Hryb confirmed that the controllers feature a “transforming d-pad” and will launch in March at $54.99. They’ll be available exclusively at US Best Buy stores and the Microsoft store. There’s currently no word on a wider European release.

I really like the black one. I might actually get one when they are released. I need a new controller for my 360.

I would buy them if they were released at at cheap price, like $25-$30. Mainly because mine is getting old and losing it's life. Sticks are loose, worn grips. And it randomly becomes disconnected although it's wired. Oh well it's good for now.

How are you going to advertise a black or purple chrome controller and have a blue controller as the header photo.

OT: The purple looks pretty sleek. But watch, they'll probably go up in price too. Especially if this gains a lot of attention.
