Manual Catch is a new way to catch a the ball. It requires you to press to make the catch. You must turn on manual catch as this is not the default fielding controllers. To access it from the RTTS menu, go under Options > User Settings > Mode Specific. From here you can turn on RTTS Manual Catch

If you have no interest in actually playing this mode fully, just quickly create a player and select an outfield position. Turn off all baserunning opportunities and set RTTS Game Watch to Classic to make it quicker. These are set in the Mode Specific menu where you turned on Manual Catch. When you have a fielding chance, assuming it's not a grounder, you will have to position your player under the ball. Follow the arrows on screen to guide you towards the spot you will need to be to match the catch with .
