Destiny 2 Season 19 Subclass Changes Revealed

3.8
Destiny 2 Season 19 officially kicks off next month with a new dungeon and more new in-game content and missions, but Bungie recently dedicated the latest iteration of its TWAB post to share more details on the upcoming changes to the existing subclasses, as well as promising a bigger overhaul for all subclasses after the launch of Lightfall expansion.

As explained by Bungie's Sandbox Team, the developers aim to get the game closer to their previously planned 60/40 gunplay/ability baseline in PvP, for which the team is preparing another holistic update for all subclass that you should expect to arrive in the post-Lightfall era, as the developers want to include Strand subclass in this new overhaul as well.

But in the case of what you can expect for Season 19, Bungie shared all the details you need to know about the changes coming to existing subclasses. After the Solar 3.0 revision during Season 17, now Bungie is planning to nerf the subclass' Restoration a bit to tune down the powerful build. On the other hand, Radiant uptime will be reduced for Ember of Torches by 2 seconds. For Ember of Solace, the developer considers a bonus of 50% to Radiant rather than the current 5 seconds. Moreover, Bungie will nerf the Knock 'Em Down bonus impact on Golden Gun and Blade Barrage. A fix for Celestial Fire will make it work as intended in close-range melee combat.

Unlike Solar, the upcoming changes for Void are more about buffs than nerfs. Void Overshield's bug will be fixed in Season 19 to provide 50% protection, and Nova Bomb Vortex will get increased projectile speed as well as a few other improvements. The suppression effect for Shield Bash will be tweaked as well. Bungie will balance the Tether anchor lifetime for two variants of Shadowshot, Deadfall and Moebius Quiver, to make Deadfall a more attractive option.

The Arc subclass mostly includes PvE adjustments as Bungie reveals that it is well-balanced in PvP, except for one overpowered area that will be nerfed based on Crucible feedback. Touch of Thunder Storm Grenade will receive a nerf in its base roaming duration as well as the bonus it receives from Spark of Magnitude. On the other hand, Bungie buffs Ballistic Slam, Tempest Strike, Arc Soul, Stormcaller's melee abilities including Ball Lightning and Chain Lightning, and finally Chaos Reach.

For the Stasis subclass, Bungie will bring adjustments to Stasis Slow, Coldsnap Grenade, Duskfield Grenade, Revenant Hunter, Behemoth Titan, Shadebinder, and Whisper of Rending.
