Xbox Game Pass subscribers looking for a chill story-driven experience can try out Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly when it releases next month. With several new games coming to the subscription platform, Xbox Game Pass seems to be having a busy couple of months,

Microsoft launched Xbox Game Pass in 2017, and some consider it the premier gaming subscription service due to its vast catalog and cloud gaming feature. The platform is constantly getting new games, including several this month, with Civilization 6 arriving on Game Pass today and Ni no Kuni 2, MLB The Show 23, and more coming later in March. Meanwhile, former PS5 exclusive Ghostwire Tokyo is slated for Xbox Game Pass next month.

Publisher Chorus Worldwide and developer Toge Productions announced Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly last November, and it is now available for pre-order on PC and consoles. The studio announced the pre-orders with a new trailer earlier today and confirmed the game's April 20 release date. Coffee Talk Episode 2 will also be on Xbox Game Pass from day one, letting subscribers enjoy the game on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S at no additional cost.



Toge Productions released the original Coffee Talk in January 2020. Described by developers as a "coffee brewing and heart-to-heart talking simulator," players take the role of a barista in an alternate universe version of Seattle, Washington, where humans live alongside fantasy creatures like elves, orcs, succubi, and more. Featuring relaxing lo-fi music and beautiful pixel art, players mixed drinks while getting to know the various colorful characters who come and go from their cafe.

The upcoming Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly continues the story with new and returning characters for players to get to know, letting them continue to explore the unique urban fantasy setting one conversation at a time. Coffee Talk 2 players will mix a variety of delicious coffee drinks, experimenting with a range of ingredients to create new recipes to warm customers' bodies and their hearts. Meanwhile, Coffee Talk Episode 2's fluid simulation lets players show their creative side by decorating drinks in various ways.

The original Coffie Talk saw an overwhelmingly positive reception when it was released three years ago, with a 95% rating on Steam. While a coffee-making and talking sim obviously isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, gamers looking for a more relaxed experience might consider trying the new game out on Xbox Game Pass or buying it on PC via The Epic Games Store, Steam, and GOG or for Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.

Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly releases for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on April 20.
