The latest update for Grand Theft Auto Online gives a lethal overhaul to one of the game’s most popular vehicles, as well as some other bonuses to keep the killing profitable.

The Karin Technical, introduced in the Heist update, looks just like any old pick-up, except for the massive heavy machine gun mounted to the truck bed. This vehicle was overdue for a make-over, and the latest update lets players do just that, with new armor, a better machine gun, and other tweaks that can now be equipped from the Mobile Operations Center’s Vehicle Workshop Module.


The update also offers a 25 percent boost to Arms Manufacturing, doubled salaries for players serving their friends as bodyguards and associates, and a free hoodie from AmmuNation for completing a sell mission from one’s Bunker, all available through July 24th. Additionally, players can enjoy 25 percent off the Phantom Wedge (both standard and SecuroServ trade prices), Annihilator, Buzzard, Vehicle Armor, and Bulletproof Tires during that time.

Even with the discounts, all this could run players a hefty chunk of change, which is why the update is extending the current double GTA$ and RP bonuses for playing the new Overtime Rumble Adversary mode until July 24th with the other content.

The same Gunrunning update that brought the aforementioned Mobile Operations Center and Arms Manufacturing missions also introduced the new Pegassi Oppressor jet engine bike, opening up a whole new world of stunt opportunities for players.
