THIS ISNT MY GUIDE, i have taken sumthings and edited them myself but only like 30% of it.

In order to start training Herblore, you must have completed the Druidic Ritual quest.
Herblore is known around RuneScape as being a skill that requires a large amount of money. If you plan to buy all your supplies from other players, the Grand Exchange, and shops around Runescape, you will look to spend millions in order to achieve level 99; however, if you plan to create and collect all your own supplies around Runescape, you may find yourself profiting.

Some people choose to buy unfinished potions, meaning you only need to obtain the secondary ingredient, and get the bulk of the experiencehowever, the prices and amounts of unfinished potions will vary.

2.0 - BASICS OF HERBLORE
The following information will inform you on how to obtain the primary and secondary items required in order to successfully train Herblore.

Herb Cleaning
Throughout your travels around RuneScape, you may come across grimy herbs when killing monsters. Without the correct Herblore level, you will not be able to clean the herbs to use them. However, should you have the required level, you will be able to clean it. To clean an herb, simply left-click it and it will quickly change to a clean herb, such as a Grimy toadflax to a Clean toadflax, respectively.

Secondary Ingredients
There are many "secondary ingredients" that can be found throughout RuneScape; for a complete list of them, please visit section 4.0.

Farming Herbs
While Herblore is generally an expensive skill to raise, it is possible to raise your levels through Farming. The only cost of which is buying the seeds; alternatively, stealing them from Master farmer is free. When herbs are picked, they are grimy. You can find more information regarding the farming of herbs in the herb section of our Farming guide.

Vials
Vials are pretty easy to obtain. You can buy them from other players, the Grand Exchange, or Shilo Village. Shilo Village is the best location for purchasing some Vials of water, as the bank and store are close. If you haven't done the Shilo Village quest, then Ardougne is the next best place to obtain your vials.

If you want to buy your Vials in bulk and fill them yourself, you can by running back and forth to a water source. One of the best places is in the Lumbridge basement, if you've started Recipe for Disaster, running from the chest to the sink. Another way to fill your Vials would be with Lunar magics (for more information, see the Magic guide). This is an easy way of gaining Magic experience without needing to run anywhere. It's also a fast way to fill Vials, as casting Humidfy will fill all of the empty Vials in your inventory.

2.1 - The Process
Creating a potion is really quite simple. All that is required is a Vial of water, a primary ingredient, and a secondary ingredient. Once you have all the correct ingredients needed in which to make your desired potion, you simply need to follow a simple method to complete your potion.

2.2 - Coconut Milk
Coconut milk is used to make stronger doses of Antipoison and Weapon posion. In order to obtain Coconut milk, use a hammer on a Coconut. This will give you a split open Coconutsimply use it on a Vial to obtain.

The table below shows the potions that require Coconut milk:

SECONDARY INGREDIENTS
For every primary ingredienttypically an herbthere is a secondary ingredient required in order to make a potion. The table below outlines which secondary ingredient belongs to which potion, and the best locations where you may find them.

POTIONS
The table below shows how to make each potion, the level required, experience gained, as well as the effect of the potion. Remember that when potions are made, they are in 3-doses. Using two potions together will combine their doses; a 3-dose potion and a 2-dose will give you one 4-dose and one 1-dose potion; a 3-dose and a 1-dose will make a 4-dose; two 2-doses will make a 4-dose, and so on. If all your potion goes into one vial, you will be left with the potion and the remaining vial. The Herblore level to make the potion is not required to combine them.

Herblore Cost Analysis
The following table contains a list of the common potions that Players use to train with, along with a cost/XP value. This will help players in determining the cheapest potion to make at given levels. Additionally, this includes the money you will receive back by selling the potion. Please bear in mind that you may not always be able to sell potions back at a certain price.

Training
When it comes to Herblore, there is no one way to train it. Some ways are quick and easy, but costly. Others are timely, but are cheaper. Especially at higher levels, your options become greater and you will need to decide how you will train Herblore. Cost per experience is shown in the table in section 6.1. You will see how much you will have to spend per experience point for every potion, taking into account how much money you get back by selling the potion, therefore allowing you to find a more efficient method.

Level 112
To even begin training Herblore, you must complete the Druidic Ritual quest. This quest will give you 250 experience in Herblore, putting you at level 3. At level 3 Herblore, your choice is limited to Attack potions, which require a Clean guam, an Eye of newt, and a Vial of water. Please bear in mind that unless specified, you will need a Vial of water for all further potions. Attack potions are very cheap compared to other potions, so it is recommended to continue making them if you are on a strict budget.

You will need to make eight Attack potions in order to reach level 5 Herblore. Clean guam are easily obtainable from monster drops, while Eye of newt may be purchased from Betty in Port Sarim, as well as Jatix in Taverley. A great method to obtain Clean guam, among other items, is to fight Chaos druids in the Taverley Dungeon.

You may begin making Antipoisons should you wish to.

Level 1325
From this point on, you will want to keep the majority of herbs that you collect from drops and/or herb patches. Later on, at higher levels, you will need these to save money. Any secondary ingredients for later levels should be saved, as an abundance of secondaries and herbs will give you some free experience later. Slayer tasks, in general, can often provide you with higher level herbs, so be sure to hold onto them.

You may wish to tackle some quests that give Herblore experience: Jungle Potion, Recruitment Drive, Dig Site, The, Zogre Flesh Eaters, and Shades of Mort'ton.

Strength potions are obtainable at level 15, so you may switch over to them at your discretion. They are not too much more expensive than Antipoison, and you will receive more experience. Attack potions still remain the best price option, price wise, and they will continue to be so throughout your Herblore experience. Should you choose to make Strength potions, you will need a Clean tarromin and Limpwurt root.

Restore potions are an more option when you reach level 22, having cheap ingredientsClean harralander and Red spiders' eggs. You may choose to make these until level 26, or continue with another cheaper alternative.

Level 2637
At level 26, Energy potions are recommended. The ingredients are very low costamongst the lowest there areand should not be tedious to sell. You will need Clean harralander and Chocolate dust in order to make them. Aside from quests, these should be your main source of experience for Herblore. These are around the same price as Strength potions, and you get more experience from them.

Further along at level 36, you will be able to make Combat potionsthese require Clean harralander and Goat horn dust. They also have a low cost rate, but are still more expensive than Energy potions. However, they grant more experience and will save you some time levelling. It is up to you on which route you will take to get your level up.

There are another set of quests that you will be able to complete now, such as: One Small Favour, Eadgar's Ruse, or Heroes' Quest.

Level 3850
You will be able to make Prayer potions at level 38, but it is recommended that you do not. If you are going for the experience versus money, you may purchase or collect your own Snape grass. Otherwise, it is not worth it to use Prayer potions to train, except if you have an abundance of them from drops.

When you reach level 42, you can make Crafting potions. They are very cheap, but the downfall is that you will have to manually collect Frog spawn, the secondary item. If you are extremely patient and do not mind having to spend extra time, then feel free. Otherwise, you may begin to make Super attack. They are not as cheap as other methods, but they have a higher selling rate and have a very cheap secondary ingredient.

If you have not already, now would be a good time to finish up some of the quests that give Herblore experience, as these will greatly assist you in getting to the level requirement for the Legends' Quest.

Level 50 +
From here on out, there are many different directions on training Herblore. At level 52, you will be able to make Super energy. These have a moderate price compared to other potions and will be quicker than past potions. A common route for potion making while in training to 99 is Serum 207. However, they are steadily increasing in price due to demand, and are not the best option right now. They are untradeable, and have cheaper, more experience-giving alternatives.

It is suggested to farm your own herbs and collect the second ingredients while your herbs are growing. This makes Herblore and Farming a profitable skill. Every herb seed you plant, will guarantee a profit, as you can get 4 to 18 herbs from one patch. Toadflax seed are a good thing to plant, due to the fact that they are a moderately expensive herb for the price of the seed. However, it is up to you to decide what you wish to plant.

MISCELLANEOUS
Salarin
Confined to a small room, Salarin the Twisted is an evil druid who is located in the Yanille Agility Dungeon. One will need level 67 Agility to gain access to his hideout. Salarin is immune to all forms of attackmelee, Ranged, Magicexcept strike spells. Salarin is found amongst Chaos druids, who are also good for collecting herbs while waiting for him to spawn. Every now and then, Salarin will drop a Sinister key, which opens the chest in the room just past the entrance with the balancing ledge. Whenever you open the chest, you will receive: 1 Torstol, 2 Harralander, 3 Ranarr, 1 Kwuarm, 1 Irit, and 1 Avantoe. Although this may seem like a good method, it can be a very slow process and may not prove worth the time.

Scroll of Cleansing
After obtaining the Scroll of Cleansing as a Dungeoneering reward there will be a 1 in 8 chance that you will make potions twice as fast, and a 1 in 10 chance that you will save the secondary ingredient of a mixed potion so if you are a fan of Dungeoneering this is a good way to save on time and costs.

Equipment
Herblore gloves, when worn, increase the drop rate of the specific herb your glove represents by 50% when fighting a monster that drops multiple types of herbs. These gloves can be obtained as a reward from Fist of Guthix and will crumble to dust after 100 such drops.

This is a very expensive but very good skill, the total for 99 is around 100m
