I currently have my PC in the basement of my home, while my router is on the middle floor. Therefore, I do not have a wired connection at the moment. If I moved my PC 2 floors up (1 floor above router rather than 1 floor below), will the wireless connection be worse? Also, is there any way to get a wired connection without plugging the PC directly into the router?
Thank you. |

It would be better, because it travels upwards < not downwards >
Without plugging directly into the router, eh not exactly you can get a spliter put it half way, then connect your PC to the spliter with another Ethernet. |

Your best bet is to invest in some Powerline adapters if you're having issues with stability on wireless.
You basically plug both adapters into separate plug sockets, an Ethernet cable runs from one of the plugs into your computer, another Ethernet cable runs out of the other plug and into your Router, this acts as a Wired connection and is much more stable and reliable than WiFi from my experience. |

Ahri wrote Your best bet is to invest in some Powerline adapters if you're having issues with stability on wireless. Has anyone tried these adapter with Xbox? Im just wondering if i can get it to go any faster. Not that i get bad DL speed, bout 80 mbp/s. Just wanted to know if it can get any higher with a wired / powerline adapter. |
