Since the Xbox One X was officially converted from Project Scorpio to the real deal back in June at E3, hopeful Xbox fans have been hungry for more details about what's being called the most powerful console ever. It certainly seems like that descriptor is correct with how powerful the console is shaping up to be, but for all the hype surrounding the console, news has been scarce since the reveal.
That'll all change though when Gamescom kicks off and the Xbox One X news countdown ends, a timer that's ticking down to something big at the conference taking place on Aug. 20. What that news will be exactly is still uncertain, but there are quite a few possibilities that might be revealed at the conference.
Among all other aspects of the Xbox One X regarding its power and gaming capabilities, the big question remains: When can players pre order the Xbox One X?
Indications for when that date might come have been few and far between since the reveal of the Xbox One X with only a few hints to go off of. Xbox boss Phil Spencer tweeted back in July that preorders weren't far off, so announcing them at Gamescom seems like a very real possibility.
Our plan is set for this. All approvals are done so now just landing the announce with all the info, won't be too much longer.

Announcing preorder availability will be a huge deal for the Xbox One X, and moving from one gaming conference to the next for the reveal will ensure that all eyes are on the Xbox One X once again.
Over 80 games have already been confirmed to receive visual and performance enhancements on the Xbox One X with big-name titles like Assassin's Creed Origins, The Evil Within 2, and Anthem making their way onto the list. Having that many games is more than plenty to keep players busy for quite some time, but with the expectations that are set for the Xbox One X, you can expect more enhancements to follow from here on out.
Revealing more enhanced games likely wouldn't be the only announcement that would come from Gamescom, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to have more games receive the Xbox One X treatment.
