New Battle Royale PUBG-Style VR Game Announced With New Trailer

The battle royale genre continues to gain traction as games such as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite's new mode gain more and more popularity by the day. Pair that with the rise of interest in virtual reality, and gamers win with a new VR title that combines the best of both worlds into one simple game: Virtual Battlegrounds.

Oneiric Entertainment unveiled their latest trailer in the video above to show off what they've got in the works for fans of VR and those that love to get down on some battle royale. Keep in mind that the above footage is labeled as "pre-alpha" and does not reflect what the final product will look like. Regardless, taking down opponents left and right within this genre is a huge rush. Add virtual reality into the mix and that makes for one intense play style experience.

oh god watching this makes me think of the VR I saw 20 years ago. Looks like nothing much has changed. Pre-alpha yes but oh god the sounds is appalling and what is it running at 1 frame a second.

Maybe in another 20 years VR may actually be something worth while. But doubtful.

Fibril Looks okay, seems like it needs improvements like FPS, hand shakes, and when parachuting your not holding anything, like dafaq.
