Assassin’s Creed III could be getting an Xbox One remaster

As noted by MSPU, it looks like Assassin’s Creed III is getting the HD treatment on Xbox One. The Xbox 360 version of the game is already backward compatible on the Xbox One, but Ubisoft will apparently re-release it on the new console. Indeed, a new Xbox One version of the game has recently earned a PEGI 18 rating, as you can see below:



Assassin’s Creed III was released in 2012 and, at the time was widely considered to be the best Assassin’s Creed title to date. For those unfamiliar, the game followed the birth of the United States with the Revolutionary War at the forefront. Since its release, there have been a healthy number of followups to the series such as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which was also re-released on the Xbox One after its initial launch on the Xbox 360 back in 2014.

There is a remaster I believe, I swear. Went pretty bad from what I heard.

2018 I have never played this one. The last one I played is number 2 so might as well catch up on the remastered xD


Its no sequel to Ezio or anything so mostly its just a newly done campaign. Never played it due to this but Ill give it a shot once the remastered is out.

Didn't play the Ezio collection but I've been a huge fan for years. The only thing I noticed that was different was the lighting lol.

Assassins Creed is my favourite game series, but I have to say if they're going to remaster any assassins creed atleast make it better not worse. Like AC2.

I played this game but not as much as origins or Unity. This game was fun but its storyline wasn't as compiling as the others. But if they remaster it, I would give it another try.

The game itself was kind of meh, but Connor was my dude. There's a chance I may buy it. Kind of curious on the price situation though. Do they go full price? If they do, how do they justify it when The Ezio Collection was three games for the same price? Also, did we just skip a remaster of the first game? Can it come with 3 to justify the price some? Or will this be a true remaster unlike The Ezio Collection which was only enhanced some?
