Update 1.03 doesn’t have any official patch notes, or even a file size, but Rockstar claims that the patch will address last minute bugs, glitches, and errors—something the company emphasizes is “common for games of this scope”. I imagine there’s nothing too serious here being addressed, and it’s more smaller issues that are being ironed out, but depending on how many, the update could still end up being pretty damn huge, and add even more stress to your bandwidth limits.
The company does recommend setting up automatic updates for your consoles to ensure that it is downloaded and applied ahead of time, and you don’t have to wait too long to be able to play the game. That’s good advice and I would follow it.
Red Dead Redemption 2 launches on October 26 for PS4 and Xbox One.
