Bungie Director: ‘We’re Not Disappointed In Destiny 2: Forsaken’

4.3
A few days ago, we reported the news that Activision was less than thrilled with the financial results that came from Destiny 2: Forsaken, noting that while the game was still popular with players, it didn’t quite have the monetary kick that the company was looking for. So does this mean that the game is doomed? Hardly.

Bungie decided to sound off on the matter, explaining that they were going to do whatever it takes to continue with the game’s quality of life, despite what some folks thought over on the publishing team.

This came directly from Destiny 2 director Luke Smith, who took to Twitter to sound off on the matter, explaining that the studio loves what it did with the game.

“We are not disappointed with Forsaken. We set out to build a game that Destiny players would love, and at Bungie, we love it too,” the director explained. “Building Destiny for players who love it is and will remain our focus going forward.”

Now it’s just a matter of seeing where the team goes from here. But yeah, Destiny 2 definitely has some players hooked again. That has to count for something.

Destiny 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. You can also get it for free on PC, but act fast!

The grind was fun for the first 2 months, but then got boring as I finished everything, they waited to late for all this dope shit ffs.

Only played the first Destiny briefly a few years back. Picked up Destiny 2 while it was free, and I'm absolutely hooked. Old game, but I'm on that "new game" grind you get on when you fall in love with a game right after you touch it. It's literally been about a week and I've beat the entire game, including all expansions, and achieved max level. Right now I'm just working on side quests and bounties. So glad they made it free because it turned me on to a very enjoyable game. I've also managed to refer three of my friends to Forsaken, and they're all addicted too. Definitely slept on Destiny for a long time, but I'm glad I finally found it. I can imagine that in the future it might get a bit boring, but for now I'm having a great time staying up late with all my friends and grinding everything in the game. Definitely looking forward to another expansion, even though they're relatively short. The beginning of Forsaken had me on the end of my seat.

I just wish they focused on making this game more different from the first. The reason I stopped playing destiny was because it started to get boring, destiny 2 just seeemed like another expansion.
