One of the changes that’s coming up for the game that might prove to be pretty major is to TTK (Time to Kill) and TTD (Time to Death). DICE’s Florian Le Bihan, core gameplay designer on Battlefield 5, recently took to Twitter to confirm that changes will be made to both, TTK and TTD, and that DICE will be sharing details about what these are quite soon.
In case you’re confused about what exactly Time to Kill and Time to Death are, or about what the distinction between the two is, Le Bihan was helpful enough to post another tweet in which he explained exactly that. You can take a look at it below.
Battlefield 5 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Chapter 1 of its Tides of War update will be going live on December 4.
Is TTD going to be improved(slowed down), so it doesn't feel like we're being shredded in two seconds? Feels like we barely have time to react or go prone when being shot at.

TTD is going to be slowed down right? Personally I though the TTK/TTD model was perfect in BF1. Just feels like we're dying way too quickly in BFV, imo.

My defintions are:
— Florian - DRUNKKZ3 (@DRUNKKZ3) November 23, 2018
- TTK is how fast you kill with a certain weapon from the perspective of the shooter
- TTD is how fast you die from the perspective of the victim, this perspective can involve different starting health and multiple damage sources (more than 1 player)
