Announced today via the official Elder Scrolls Twitter account, The Elder Scrolls: Blades is now slated to release in early 2019 on both iOS and Android. Given that we haven’t heard much about the game since Apple’s keynote event back in September, it started to seem likely that this delay might occur, unless a release date would have been announced rather soon.
Given Bethesda’s current situation with Fallout 76 and the negative response surrounding it, I’d have to imagine that most fans won’t be too upset by this delay. At this point, it’s likely better for the publisher to polish up their next release as best as possible before launching it fully, even if it is just a mobile game.
If you can’t wait until the game’s full launch, you can still sign up to play The Elder Scrolls: Blades via Early Access over on the official Blades website.
The Elder Scrolls: Blades will release in Early 2019 for iOS and Android devices. We are incredibly excited for you to play Blades and you can still sign up for Early Access at https://t.co/uuFPob6YWJ.
