Believe it or not, we’re only about one month away from the release of Death Stranding. As such, the game’s final promotional materials should start to come about in the upcoming weeks prior to launch.
Today, director Hideo Kojima revealed on Twitter that the launch trailer for Death Stranding is being worked on as of this moment. This will be the final video for the game that releases before Death Stranding lands on store shelves, which is pretty standard. Launch trailers typically arrive on the day of release for a game or a few days prior.
However, Kojima specified that this trailer specifically is being edited by himself. In his tweet, Kojima explained that most launch trailers are usually handled by an outsourced CGI studio rather than the development studio itself. Of course, Kojima has always been far more hands-on with his projects than some others in the industry.
What I’m editing now is the launch trailer. It’ll be the last one until the release. Normally such launch trailer is handled by outsourcing CGI studio using the movie director to make it gorgeous with full CGI or live action. I do by myself as the trailer is a part of the title😅

In fact, this inevitable launch trailer isn’t the only one for Death Stranding that has been edited by Kojima. The famed game designer has edited nearly all of the previous trailers for the project in the past and has been very forthcoming when he is doing so on social media. Hopefully, this final video for the game will be as good as some we’ve seen in the past.
We’ll share the launch trailer for Death Stranding with you whenever it ends up dropping. Until then, you can look to get your hands on the game next month on November 8 when it arrives exclusively for PS4.
