Alongside the delay of Doom Eternal, Bethesda has announced that the port of Doom 64 will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
“Doom 64 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in addition to the Nintendo Switch,” says a tweet from Doom’s official Twitter page. “We are adding Doom 64 as a pre-order bonus for Doom Eternal on all platforms so you’ll be able to download and play this classic game, for free, just for preordering Doom Eternal. Doom 64 will be released on March 20, 2020 on all platforms.”
The port of Doom 64 was announced during September’s Nintendo Direct with a November 22 release date. The game was developed by Midway Games and it came out in 1997 on the Nintendo 64. The port joins Doom, Doom II, and Doom III which were released on the Nintendo Switch back in July.
In addition to Doom 64‘s new release date, Bethesda announced that the Switch version of Doom Eternal will launch after the other platorms. While it’s a shame Doom Eternal is getting delayed, it’ll be well worth the wait when it releases.
Doom 64 launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 20, 2020.
