Nintendo Switch Has Sold Over 10 Million Units In Europe

4.3
After the disastrous Wii U, the Switch has been a massive success for Nintendo, and it’s a console that’s sold well across the world. For instance, Nintendo of Europe recently announced via their official Twitter page that the Switch family has now sold more than 10 million units in Europe. At last count, the Switch’s worldwide sales were at nearly 37 million, so this makes up for a big chunk of those figures.

Eurogamer also reports that sales for the Switch in Europe this year are 30 per cent up from 2018, and 40 per cent up from 2017, so the console’s performance on the market is only continuing to get better. Recently, Nintendo launched a handheld variant of the Switch with the Switch Lite, which is a more portable and cheaper option for consumers, which has doubtless helped with sales.

With a steady and impressive stream of excellent exclusive releases pretty much since the first day of the system’s launch, not to mention decet third party support and excellent support from indies, the Switch’s library is no doubt very attractive to millions. And with the likes of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Pokemon Sword and Shield, Bayonetta 3, a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and more also in the pipeline, one can only even better sales for the system in the future.
