Google Stadia Pre-orders Won’t All Ship For Launch

4.3
The launch of the video game streaming service, Stadia, is upon us. It’s a bold service that could have a major impact on the future of the gaming industry, or could just be a failed experiment. Regardless of which it will be, it seems Google has really struggled with marketing the service. From being unclear what the service actually is, to things like the wireless controller not being wireless at launch, we now have another thing to add to that pile as the service’s launch may not be the actual launch for some users.

The Founder’s Edition has been up for preorder since the original announcement, and if you preordered in eager anticipation, you may very well be disappointed. As reported by The Verge, apparently Google is having to ship out units in the order they received them, meaning that not everyone who pre-ordered will get the kit on the actual launch date.

What the issue is isn’t clear, nor is it clear to what volume we can expect those who preordered to not get their Stadia kit come November 19th. Well, some may have to wait longer, but the service is still coming from the media giant. We can only hope it doesn’t end up like some previous gaming projects they’ve had.
