Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has posted a tweet confirming the company’s presence at the 2020 videogame show, which kicks off June 5 in Los Angeles. “Our team is hard at work on E3,” he says. “We look forward to sharing with all who love to play what’s ahead for us. Our artform has consistently been propelled by the cross-section of creativity and technical progress. 2020 is a milestone year in that journey for Team Xbox.”
So, while Sony has said it doesn’t “feel the vision of E3 2020 is the right venue for what we are focused on this year” and wants to “build upon our global events strategy in 2020 by participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe”, it looks like it’s full steam ahead for Microsoft towards the show.
Microsoft recently unveiled its next generation console, the Xbox Series X (previously known as Xbox Scarlett), revealing that it’s got four times the processing power of of the Xbox One X. It’s likely that the console will feature heavily in its agenda for this “milestone year” E3.
Our team is hard at work on E3, we look forward to sharing with all who love to play what's ahead for us. Our artform has consistently been propelled by the cross-section of creativity and technical progress. 2020 is a milestone year in that journey for Team Xbox. #XboxE3 #E32020

The biggest videogame show of the year might still be a little way off, but it’s never too early to start thinking about what the E3 2020 games might be. Let’s hope one of them is the long-hoped-for Dragon Age 4.
