Not everything new to Night City has been laid out in black and white by CDPR. Some things will be discovered in the coming days and weeks by players old and new. Just like the easter egg below. K0neer shared a video on the Cyberpunk subreddit showing a mysterious switch that shuts off all the streetlights on an entire block.
The nifty hidden detail gives a whole new meaning to the name Night City. Fellow players have pointed out in the comments that it would have been cooler if all the lights were shut off, ads and ones inside buildings included. That specific area of the game at that particular time of day would have almost had an air of horror to it with the lights out. Then again, Cyberpunk can be hard enough to play at times without trying to do it in the dark.
It's been a while since Cyberpunk easter eggs were a hot topic of conversation. Despite the game's problems at launch, those who braved the storm and played it anyway discovered some pretty cool stuff. A cave inspired by the one from the first Iron Man movie, a tip of the hat to San Andreas's iconic train mission, and even an homage to It's Always Sunny In Philadephia.
Despite the odds, Cyberpunk continues one and people still seem to be playing it. That's despite the new additions and update being far from perfect. While the cats now have better AI and Night City sort of has police chases now, CDPR's continued work still hasn't got Cyberpunk to the point it imagined it would be at launch, let alone more than a year later.
