Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition has been rated for Switch

It looks like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition may finally be coming to Nintendo Switch.

After the game was reportedly rated in Taiwan earlier this year, it has now been classified in Europe too.

As spotted by NintendoPAL, the game has been rated by PEGI, which for some reason lists it as releasing for Nintendo’s console on August 31, 2022.

Announced last August, the latest Skyrim remaster was released for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC in November 2021 to coincide with the RPG’s 10th anniversary.

Anniversary Edition followed 2013’s Legendary Edition and 2016’s Special Edition. Like the latter, Anniversary Edition includes an enhanced version of the main game and its Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn expansions.

It also comes with 500 pieces of content from the game’s Creation Club, which includes quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons and spells, made by both Bethesda and community creators.

If the title is coming to Switch, it could be confirmed this month during an unannounced but anticipated Nintendo Direct presentation.

Earlier this week it was claimed that a Nintendo Direct presentation focused on Zelda announcements will be held in September.

Giant Bomb reporter Jeff Grubb suggested third party games coming to Switch will also be shown at event.

An unannounced Switch version of Biomutant was spotted online this week too.
