Sons Of The Forest has had a stellar early access launch on Steam, selling more than 2 million copies in a span of 24 hours. According to SteamDB, the highly-anticipated sequel has had a peak of 350,076 concurrent players on Steam as well. And those who couldn't access the title's Steam page due to heavy user traffic jumped into Sons Of The Forest streams, resulting in a total viewership of 769,000 on Twitch, which beats the scores of some of the most streamed titles in recent history.

Endnight Games' long-awaited survival game finally entered into the early access period earlier this week. But its astronomically successful launch slowed the Steam store with heavy user traffic, and also rendered the game's Steam page inaccessible. One day in, the massive demand for Sons Of The Forest also yielded at least two million copies and made the game a global top seller. Even though this is not the full launch, as the developer believes that it needs more work and polishing, Sons Of The Forest is off to a phenomenal start.

Thousands of players left positive reviews for the survival indie, saying that "it is in good shape," after a long development period with multiple delays. The remarkable launch of the indie now boasts a "very positive" user rating as well.

The sequel to 2018's cult classic The Forest, Sons Of The Forest expands the survival horror experience of the original with its similar premise and introduction. The open-world survival horror takes players to a remote island, where freakish creatures lurk in the dark, and cannibalistic tribes delve into their mysterious rituals.

Players will have to make use of a wide array of objects and master the ways of crafting to brave the dangers of the island. Similar to 2018's The Forest, the sequel has various secrets scattered around the island, and definitely has a lot to unravel. And it seems like a great number of players have already started to do so, as the game has received more than 25,000 reviews on Steam in 24 hours.

After witnessing the astronomical success of their indie title, Endnight Games thanked the community for their support and announced that they have many things planned that players will get to see in the upcoming weeks. From this point on, the developers will be gathering feedback to improve and enhance the horrifying world of Sons Of The Forest in the future. But now, they are off to a very, very good start.
