Rumor: Next Five PlayStation PC Ports Leaked

4.2
PlayStation’s next wave of first-party PC ports has been leaked online, and if this rumor is true then some of the company’s biggest exclusives are branching out in 2024. While Sony’s staple of first-party studios has naturally focused on making exclusive titles for PlayStation consoles, Sony has been working toward bringing some of these games to a wider PC audience in recent years. This has had mixed results so far, with titles like Horizon Zero Dawn and 2018’s God of War finding major success while others like Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and The Last of Us Part 1 struggling to make sales on PC outlets like Steam.

Still, PlayStation’s porting efforts have had more hits than misses so far, and 2023 saw the PC debuts of several Sony first-party titles. The aforementioned The Last of Us Part 1 was launched on PC last March, right on the heels of HBO’s highly successful The Last of Us television show. Before that, the sci-fi roguelike PS5 launch title Returnal arrived on PC back in February, followed by Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart in July. 2024 is already promising more PlayStation PC ports to come, with the first confirmed one being Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition.

There might be plenty more in the coming year, as an anonymous 4Chan user claims to know PlayStation’s next five PC ports. According to this leak, which was shared by Reddit user TheEternalGazed on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, this list consists of The Last of Us Part 2, God of War Ragnarok, Demon's Souls, Gran Turismo 7, and Ghost of Tsushima. The rumor claims that all of these titles will be released on PC at some point later this year, and that Demon’s Souls and Ghost of Tsushima have taken so long due to their respective development teams' inexperience with making PC ports.

The leak goes on to hint at some PlayStation PC ports for 2025, including Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and earlier PS exclusives like Infamous: Second Son. Curiously enough, a group of dataminers recently attempted to build an unauthorized PC version of Spider-Man 2 using material pulled from December’s massive Insomniac data breach, but many of the individuals involved have since withdrawn from the project. Meanwhile, quite a few of the titles listed in this newest rumor were mentioned in the now-infamous Nvidia GeForce Now leak from back in 2021, which predicted many of Sony’s subsequent PC ports.

Of course, neither the Nvidia leak nor these recent 4Chan claims have been verified in any official capacity, so fans should take them with a grain of salt for the time being. That being said, the games listed in this list of possible PlayStation PC ports are either follow-ups to titles that have already been released on PC or highly successful on their native PlayStation systems, and it would stand to reason that they would eventually make the transition to the larger PC market at some point. Only time will tell if these five PlayStation first-party titles join Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition on the PC later this year.
