GTA 6 Not Expected To Run At 60 FPS On PS5 Pro, Says DF Report

The PS5 Pro speaks have been scrutinised by Digital Foundry’s Rich Leadbetter, who has revealed that it is likely Grand Theft Auto 6 will run at 30 FPS on the as-yet unannounced console, not 60 FPS as many would have probably hoped for.

In case you missed it, the PS5 Pro CPU is not expected to offer a major advantage over the existing version of the console, instead featuring a High CPU Frequency Mode that allows for a 10% increase in performance. This, says Leadbetter, means that GTA 6 is unlikely to run at 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro.

Speaking in the latest episode of DF Direct, the analyst revealed that if GTA 6 performs at 30 FPS on the PS5, then it’ll perform at the same frame rate on the PS5 Pro. However, he notes that if in the unlikely event that GTA 6 has a 60 FPS mode for PS5, then the PS5 Pro will also run the game at that speed.

While on the topic of the PS5 Pro’s reported CPU performance, it has been suggested that the limited increase over the standard model is due to the console being manufactured with PS6 backwards compatibility in mind.

The PS5 Pro is hotly tipped to launch in November 2024 and is known internally as Project Trinit

i highly doubt it wouldnt be able to hit 60fps lmao, it uses pc hardware which is an modified amd apu custom built,
the games going to be 60fps it is suicide to launch a game at laggy 30fps without frame smoothing,
sorry but i dont believe thats going to be the case, also sony never confirmed theres going to be a ps5 pro even though people expect it soon,

always wait for gameplay before judging a book by its cover as everythings subject to change,

ps if its going to be 30fps on playstation that means its going to be 30fps on xbox as well since it wouldnt make sense to be 60fps exclusively on one platform without being paid to do so which wouldnt surprise me if microsoft did that,

but yeah the games going to be 60fps until proven via gameplay video.
since the games are always made on pc first then ported to the dev kits its again safe to say its 60fps,

and once again if its 30fps on playstation then its 30fps on xbox sexs as well.
