Playstation division of Sony reports sales up to $4.2 billion

It has been a good few months for Sony's Playstation division, they are reporting a massive increase to operating profit that is likely linked to the recent PS4 launch.

In the third quarter that division reported a 64 percent increase in sales adding up to a sweet $4.2 billion. Compared to last year their operating income ballooned nearly 300 percent to $172 million.

Sony did not break down individual unit sales but did indicate that between their line of consoles and handhelds they sold almost 10 million unit in their third quarter along with 126 million game software sales to boot.

It could be, but I don't know. I know there were some Playstation players moving to the Xbox One as well though.


The ps4 was or still is a lot better than the xbox one ... So a lot of gamer's have chosen to switch to the ps4.

It could be, but I don't know. I know there were some Playstation players moving to the Xbox One as well though.

Yeah it would be good if they gave us a 1 month free.
But playstation + is really worth the money online , free games , discounts.
