GTA Online Heists: player roles and maximum payouts leaked

Players will be able to take on at least six different roles in GTA Online Heists, according to game code.

Driver, hacker, hired gun, leader, parachutist and sniper have all been uncovered in Grand Theft Auto 5′s source code, along with simple icons for each role.

It’s not known if these are all player roles, NPCs roles or a combination of the two. According to another modder, the maximum payout for pulling off a heist is $1.5 million, although this will decline the more you replay the mission.

GTA Online Heists have been promised since the game released but have yet to be included in any kind of DLC drop. We’ve already seen the animations that characters in-game will be using.

Now the game has been confirmed for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, we’re half expecting Heists to be released at the same time as the next-gen versions of the game.

How exactly are they going to work? That’s a big question.

This should've been added earlier as promised. These heists are sure to bring back many players as this game needs some more online features.

I've been looking forward to Heists ever since Multipler came out. I really want to do some of them and am just looking forward to it. I can't wait for them to release them to the public. Going to have a blast with friends.

Kind of sucks that they continued to promise about the release with each new update. They should of just shutup and said about it when they definitely planned to release it!

I hope the wait is worth it. We have been waiting since day one for heists and if they don't live up to our expectations I can see a lot of people not playing GTA again. Also no release date yet for heists? I'm guessing they will release when the Xbone/Ps4 versions drop

It is about time that we actually find out some things about Heists, even though it isn't straight from the mouth of Rockstar, it will have to do. The payout seems rather reasonable, hopefully the update is going to make an appearance within the next two months.

I do understand that the payouts come out less and less each time, but they could at-least make the missions harder, then paying out more. So say the max payout is $15m. That would be sufficient if the mission was hard enough, that way the more you play that mission, you will still get sufficient amounts of money.

That is my opinion, what do you guys think?

Miss I hope this leak is true and maybe you could even be a cop in the heist. That would be awesome.


I hope that it holds to be true as well. I am really looking forward to the heists and what not.


I have a feeling they will come out some time after the next gen releases


I would love if you could play as a cop as a main character sometime in GTA, even if it's just a DLC. Playing as a dirty cop could be so fun and have some good perks to it as well, would hold up with the 3 character style again like in GTA V
