SMITE is coming to PlayStation 4

Hi-Rez Studios’ mythology-themed MOBA SMITE is making its way to PlayStation 4.

The free-to-play MOBA was first released on PC in 2013 before making its way onto Xbox One in 2015. The global playing community currently stands at over 14 million.

It features 70 playable gods and mythological creatures from eight different pantheons battling it out in six game modes.

A closed beta will be held for the game and will introduce several new skins for the gods, each available exclusively through PS4. Other exclusive skins will be made available for PlayStation Plus subscribers and those who purchase a Founder’s Pack during the beta.

The Founder’s Pack unlocks all present and future gods in Smite, 400 Gems, contains the Ares Soldier of Fortune skin and a key for instant beta access. It will run you $29.99/€23.99/£20.99.

A release for SMITE’s beta other than a March window or the official launch date was not provided, but the closed Alpha kicks off today.

I have a lot of friends that play this game and swear by how much time they have invested in it, but I just can't seem to get into it.

Its nice to see this game growing in popularity across consoles, ive been playing this on Xbox One for a very long time now and honestly its one of my favourite games out there.

I'm curious how much of an audience this would attract. Console games don't really have that many MOBA games, so I would assume the MOBA fanbase would be rather low for this type of game?

Eli Just downloaded this the other day for xbox, I have still yet to try it.

If you do give it a try I would recommend using a mage as they are usually quite easy to use :) Also build the popular items unless you find a decent build on smitefire or w/e build site you find.

Surely you must be boosting up your post their buddy. Smite is a free to play game and graphics are hardly noticeable on a moba. Research before you post irrelevant info sir

Anyways, I cant wait for ps4 to play smite and get rekt like we xbox players did early.

Smite was an amazing game, why wouldn't you even try it. Its a fun game for anyone who's on ps4 and enjoys moba games.

Smite is an amazing game, great fun to play with a group of friends if they take it seriously. IT CAN be as aggravating as CoD so keep that in mind, but I still love the game:)
