my cousins 4gb slim just says open tray everytime i put a disc in any ideas what it could be?

when u close the disk tray tap the top whistle it is closing thats wot i need and ant had the problem since

its a faulty xbox had same problem with mine and you can take it back if its not jtagged.... they will immediately swap the xbox but exchange the hard drive so you will get to keep your hardrive
