ok, well i think i know how to get jtags back online, and am in the process of doing it,

but i would also like some people to help me, so post below of what equipment you have and what you could help with!

Tutorial:

Step 1.Download Ida pro
This is what you will need to reverse engineer the Kernel and HOPEFULLY accomplish the task of disabling the checks.

1. Download Utorrent client. Personally I use uTorrent. It's a very powerful and efficent program. Doesn't use alot of memory.

2.Now that you've downloaded and installed your choice of Bitorrent client, your almost ready to go.

3.Once it's downloaded open it up (If your unable to open it you must download Winrar from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] arlab.com <-Without the space and it will have a readme that will guide you through the installation of this file.


4.After downloading and installation you will need to open the script I will provide at the bottom of this tutorial. I will also provide the Hypervisor and Kernel for a [b]RETAIL console that was extracted. I'm pretty sure it would be better to have a Jtag's Kernel and Hypervisor to modify but I dont have one. So if anyone does feel free to pm me and Ill give you credit for it.


Files that you might want:

1.Script for IDA(Very necessary otherwise you will have NO CLUE where anything is.)


Instructions for IDA script:
1.Open xboxkrnl.exe as a binary
2.Set processor to PPC, base 0
3.Load script

2.12625 Kernel

3.Hypervisor



Step 2. Extract your kernels and File system.
1. Open your original nand in flash 360
2. click extract
3. check your kernels and file output system put it in a folder named Nand stuff.


Step 3. Building your ida pro so it can read xex files
1. Download xex loader and xex tool

2. Extract to your desktop
3. Click the read me to learn the installation.


Step 4. Finding the checks
1.Open ida pro 5.5 or 5.6 what ever version you downloaded
2.Drag xam.xex into your ida pro
3.Select processor type as ppc
4. Open as a xex file.


Step 5. Learning how to code ppc
1.You need to read up on ppc reverse engineering.
2. Google it.


Step 6. Now To patch the checks.
1. Download patch builder


2. Click the read me to learn how to work it.
