I bought a JTAG not too long ago, obviously, and recently have been having issues when trying to use some patches on some games.
I am able to use MW2 patches that include a default_mp.xex just fine.
But, when I try to insert a patch_mp.ff file into my MW2 folder, I either get a dirty disk error, or the patch does not load at all.
Seems like I'm missing a method of creating default_mp.xex files that I need or something of that nature?

Some patches need a different default_mp.xex to others, e.g. GodlyModz v4 patch needs a different default_mp.xex to other patches.

Yeah it seems like every patch I use that comes with it's own modded default_mp.xex file works fine, whereas others that just come with the patch_mp.ff file don't.
For those that just come with the patch_mp.ff file, do I need to use the original default_mp.xex file from my MW2 rip?
One patch in particular that I can't seem to get to work, and would like to play with is Quarantine Zombies V2. It only comes with a patch_mp.ff, and every time I insert it into my MW2 folder and load up system link, nothing happens.
