Do not get Dell or HP they are not very good. I would get a toshiba, its a great computer. MAc is o.k. Remember get a good processor

Neither. Look at some Asus laptops, if you can. Incredible build quality, performance, service (rated close to Apple), and value.
If you must have one of those two, get the Mac if you are just loaded and have immense amounts of money. Get the PC if you want some decent value for your dollar. It's a fact that PCs destroy Macs in terms of value and performance unless money is no object.

You want to get a windows laptop like a dell,acer or Toshiba just because went you want to you can upgrade them with ease that's what i did i got one a couple of years ago upgrade the graphics card once a year and i just bought more ram its much easier than having to get a new mac every year which are overpriced in my opinion

HP, Windows is way more versatile with software. I have an HP G62 Notebook, and i love it.
