Update
Step one- get a firesale
Step two- use the box
Step three- use the box- but dont take it
Step four- get a death machine
Step five- wait for the power ups Togo away
Step six- enjoy the gun that is still there until the end of the game
It is pretty pointless unless you are in desperate need of a gun. But, there may be more glitches from this that have yet to be discovered.
I hope this was somewhat helpful
Credit to - update 2- I will be taking a group of 3 to do this later. If somebody can record it would be great as my videos can't upload. You must be good to say alive. Leave your gamertag and we will do it. I will give credit also to you.

So you get a firesale, use the box, get a death machine, then wait for it to run out then the gun in the box will be there forever. It's pretty pointless but it's a glitch

WOOOOOOOOW really I get no credit for that lmao none of this happened to you, you were across the map when it happened to me. Not that it matters it would be really hard to replicate and nearly pointless. How it happened to ME was baller got a firesale and I go to the box where flinger takes you. I hit the box but I killed a few zombies while the gun was coming up and I got a death machine. The firesale ended then the death machine went away. But the mystery box was still there and the box was open and it said at the bottom of the screen (Hold X to swap weapons) or whatever it says. The box stayed there for like 10 minutes till I picked up the gun then it went away. Maybe some1 can figure out how to make something more useful out of this

Yo I found 2 random box glitch where there is two boxes but the glitched on the first try will either be vr-11 or scavenger gt xHxRECONxHx or OpTic Blazian
