its proven, but you dont die the way you die in your dream, when you die (being shot, falling, drowning) your heart essentially stops, so your heart starts in real life if your in a deep slumber, but if your still controlling your dreams, like right when you close your eyes for 15 or so minutes and can dream about whatever you want, that doesnt count

Well here is what I think...Apparently if you take Vicatin(idk if thats how it's spelled) right before you sleep, you have super intense dreams. So if you take vicatin and dream about dying you might be able to feel it since that is what happens if you take it. So if you have a heart attack in the dream you could potentially have one in real life...thus killing you in the dream and in real life.

It is possible that you can die if you die while in your dreams, but you can die in your dreams but still live. It's chance. How well your body is and how intense your death is and how your body and mind's reaction twords that death is.

Well a dream is a wish your heart makes so I guess you are wishing to die.

Ok i seen this thread and knew i just had to tell my story. About 6 Years ago i was asleep and dreaming that i was at a hotel that had an inside swiming pool. Now this swiming pool was the coolest pool I had ever seen. I mean it had an under water obstacle course. So i decided to go swiming and try it out so i jump in. Now after being underwater for a little bit i start to feel like i need to come up for air. On my way up i relize i really really need some air. Now for the scary part as i am swiming up my arms and legs start to feel weak i could barely move them. I could see that I was getting closer to the top of the water but my eyes were going black and i could feel the pressure builing up. (I was drowning) At just about that time I woke up coughing and gasping for air. So i guess when i jumped in the pool and held my breath in my dream. I also held my breath in real life. This was the scariest dream I have ever had I mean I was drowning in my sleep very scary stuff. :
