Yep ive never had gold and I've been told twice I was going to get gifted and I never was... It's disappointing

Its not against the rules to Gift someone gold.
Its specifically has a tab on every persons profile who doesnt have gold, it says... Gift this person gold!
So no just no.

Considering should not be won with Rep/Thanks and stuff like that, and competitions aren't allowed on the site for it, I don't see why you are complaining.
