It really depends on what you want to do with it...

For example, if you are looking to buy it just for lobby's dont bother.

But, if you want earlier games and stuff like that go a head and get one.

If you can get it online yes.

Of course, theres lots of money to be made. Make sure you buy from a trusted seller, because those things are so expensive, its be bad to get ripped off.

Well, it depends on what you want the jtag for.
I like to use mine a lot.
If you just wanted it to host lobbies on mw2, then yes it is too late. But you can stii do world at war and cod4.
I like to use my jtag so that if theres a game i want, but i dont want to waste the money buying, then i can just borrow it from someone and install it. I have fun playing all the XBLA games. Its fun to screw around with and change things up. You can also run old patches for like mw2 and some of them are really fun like gun game and zombies, especially when you have friends over and you play like system link.
So no, its not too late.

Like most of the people are saying if you want it for system linking then it's a tough decision to make unless you are a competent programmer. Otherwise its a good time due to them being cheap so you could get one and see what else you could do with it besides system linking, and there are a ton of things that can be done.

And one day who know's, they even get back online.....
