Hey there. I've looked all over for a fix for this but there just doesn't seem to be one that I can see.
I got my PVR a week ago, it worked fine for 3 days, but after that something changed. It was recording audio still, and the audio plays in Windows Media Player, but for some reason the audio timeline/stream isn't showing up in Sony Vegas and thus no audio is present (I've rendered a video to prove that it isn't just "hidden".)
I've done everything I could find. I've installed an older version of quicktime. Checked my cables. Reinstalled vegas/updated and the same for the Arcsoft Capture software, yet no luck. I've reinstalled the drivers too.
I'm at a loss here. If I could get some help, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!
Edit: I record in .M2TS and encode the audio in AAC. If I remember correctly, all of my videos previous to vegas randomly not opening the audio still worked, but I've had them deleted now, so I cannot check this unfortunately. This hints at an error with the PVR or Arcsoft's recording software, I presume.

You are a total superstar. <3
Why doesn't it work like it used to, though? I dunno why it suddenly stopped working right... It seems like having to convert it every time will take ages when it could just work like it used to

Gonna bump this up, rather than starting a new topic needlessly.
I'm still having this problem and I dunno how to sort it. It's a real hassle having to convert every video I make before editing them.

There is no need to convert or to use xbox settings, all you have to do is make sure your output file type is m2ts, vegas will pick that up fine.
