Okay so most of you (People who live in the USA that is) know that certain people (Aithiests) are trying to take the word "God" out of the Pledge of Alligance. If you finding out about this now then it is true. Now it has not been done yet but Aithiests are in the USA government of some type. (IDK what branch or what job but they are in it.)

So. Here is what i think. And this is a lecture.

We came to this country with our Religion. Christianity. Well when we made it a free country....well now we can have any race, culture, religion in this country. Well now they are trying to take out "God" out of the Pledge of Aligance. Well that makes me mad We came to this country for freedom. Letting other countries come to our soil to be free. And when some no-life chump comes to this country and says "We have to take God out of the Pledge." WTF? You don't just come to our country and take away our religion. That is our main religion. And if you think it is wrong for our country to have that in their then you best leave. You need to.

Now. If you are Aithiest i don't hate you. I don't hate any religion or judge any religion what so ever. I respect everyones religion as they respect ours. If they don't respect ours then i don't mind. But all i am saying is this:

An Aithiest comes in the US Government to take away "God" in the United States of America's Pledge of Alligance. No. Just get out if you are offended.

Now vote on the poll. Should "God" stay in the Pledge of Alligance? I have asked an Admin about this topic to be posted or not and he said yes. If it gets out of hand and/or someone is offended then Any Admin has the right to close this topic.

Casca Edit:
Lets keep this conversation civil and polite. There is no reason for insulting ones opinion or beliefs. Please post intelligently. Any posts not meeting those requirements will be deleted. Thanks

In my opinion yes, but on tradition grounds you have no argument. If you look at it from that perspective, you should worship like the native americans, which in reality was their country. Its a bit naive to say that is foreigners that introduced atheism as most Americans were foreigners at one stage. And in relation to slavery that happened in the states, there was definitely a divide, but most African traditions died out. You can look at it from both angels but i would still side with the "yes" side.

Edit: Btw no offence meant to anybody

Well. I go with God creating animals and us then we evolve. That FTW. But anyways this was a topic on the news around 06 maybe. But it is still going around. And i understand you Neil and what you mean. I just think it is wrong for them to come to USA and rip our religion.

As an agnostic my opinion isn't biased and I say that yes it should be. As an american my country was one built on religion, would it be fair to take away such a strong pilliar? Meh, im a strong believer of keeping your fatih strong, but keeping it to yourself. As in, you can choose to say it or not.

actually the puritans came to this country trying to escape religious persicution. so a major belive in this country is freedom of religion. so when children say the pledge of allegiance every day in school there acknowledging that this country has a dedicated religion but we clearly dont if you look at the BILL OF RIGHTS.
