App Creation

A lot of people think, making apps is endless code, months of work. Well that can be the case, unless you know your programs and do your research. But i have done the research, and im making apps for apple earning money, only takes i can make a good app in less than a week, but, with no code! I do my thinks with drag and drop. But here is a list of programs i will be talking about in this post -
NOTE : For Gamesalad and Xcode you will need a Mac!!

GameSalad
Corona SDK
Xcode
Google App Inventor
AppGameKit
My App Creation Service
Construct
+ More

We will start with 'My App Creation Service'

When im not developing, i create app's for other people for a small price (around 50 min)
I use GameSalad to make my apps. I have the most experience in that. If you don't want to develop, contact me, we might be able to work out a deal.

Now lets move on, all the rest is about you making your own apps!
This part is about GameSalad (What i use)

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is an easy to use, drag and drop tool to make iPhone/iPad/Mac apps, later this year android support is coming. It is a free to use program, unless you want Pro Membership ($500) which gives you GameCenter, Open URL, iAds, Custom splash screen.
But you don't need Pro, all apps that are possible with Gamesalad can be made in the free version.
I recommend this program to anyone!
All Tutorials for this tool can be found on the GS website or on youtube, just type in to youtube 'GameSalad cookbook'

Corona SDK

There is not much can say about this tool, as i do not use it.
You code your programs in .Lua, which is really easy to learn, have you heard of the game 'Bubble Ball' ? Its was made in this program by a 14 Year old boy! (Same age as me ;) )
It is a powerful tool and a lot can be done with it. It is free to use and test on devices but to publish it will cost.
All tutorials are downloaded with this program. ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )

Xcode

A Powerful program, made by apple, apps made on this are known as 'Native Apps'
I Would recommend this to people who have a very good knowlage in advanced coding as with Xcode, you code on objective-c. It can takes months to make an app on this which would take days on a program like GameSalad or Corona SDK.
Xcode is a required program if you are using GameSalad (possible Corona SDK)
Xcode is a free and useful program for making Gamesalad Viewer builds, and getting them onto your device. Xcode only make Apple device apps, NO android/BB

Google App Inventor

Very, Very easy to use program. But it is not very powerful, limited to what can be done with it, as far as i know only android apps can be created on this. Useful if it is only something basic that you would like to made for android, and im 80% sure this is a free tool. Google it ;)

AppGameKit

This has now been released, i have not used it yet so i can't say to much about it. But i know it is very powerful and worth looking at!. Go to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and Click on 'Mobile' to see more about this tool.

Construct

Construct - Made by Scirra. Its an easy to use program to make apps for multiple platforms. Loads of features. I really recommend this program! Run your games on Mac, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Linux and more! This makes your game in HTML5, thats a very good thing. You should go to the website to look at more! [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . scirra .com

Xbox 360 XNA

I have looked out for a few videos to making xbox games. Some of these videos are for XNA pc games BUT, it works the same, you can convert PC to xbox and xbox to PC. More tutorials coming soon. These videos are the basics.

Apple Developer Program/Android Publishing

To put apps on the App Store on apple, you will have to purchase an Apple Developer program, which costs 99 Dollars ( 59 Pounds )
Also if you want to publish to android, it will cost about 20 pounds.
Just google 'Apple Developer Program' for more info on that.
Just google 'Android Developer Program' for more info on that.

I will be posting here about more tools (if i find any useful ones)
I might do another post about PC/Xbox 360 Game Creation.
I hope this helped, feel free to thanks and +REP, IF you need help with any tools or want more info on any of them just ask.

What is still to come in this thread ? - Added graphics to make is look better. More tools, including Xbox 360 tutorials.

Well, I want to use a basic one, like GameSalad or Corona. But GameSalad is only for Mac and Corona is only for Android.
And I want a basic one for an iPhone and a Windows computer...?

Corona makes iPhone apps as well.
In summer there is going to be a drag and drop program to make iPhone apps.
I will post about that when it comes out.

Gamesalad can be used on hackintosh for now.
