I would not bother. You can play burned games, so you dont need the disk. But if you plan on using it online you will be banned quick enough. So if for playing burned games OFFLINE then sure go for it. However if you want to go onine dont bother.

Download most games for FREE!

I used to have one but got banned in the ban wave

Best to use offline, but you can go online but be very cautious

The exception that proves the rule ;) People do go online with flashed xbox's yes. But most will be banned, all I am saying is if you flash and go online be prepared to be banned and dont act surprised

You won't get banned as long as you run all your games through abgx and you don't play games super early.

Just gotta be smart.

after the newest dashboard update it restores your dvd drive back to Original firmware

microsoft is getting very strict about flashing dvd drives and modding in general....

and you are likely to get banned or your firmware restored to its original firmware

in my opinion its not worth it

i will sell you mine with modded games if you want it

The dashboard 13146 flashed a firmware update to the drives. It did not reflash it back to original firmware. The update enables support for the new disc format, and changed the location of your drive key amongst other things.

You can flash your drive with the new firmware packs available, and play online - HOWEVER, as one of the other posters stated - you must run your iso files through abgx360 to make sure your 2.5 games are patched correctly. If you skip that step you could be banned. Backups made before the dashboard update need to be re-patched. If you stealth patch the disc properly, you should be fine. But, like with any mods.....do so at your own risk!
