i got a laptop that i bought brand new like 2 months ago and when i play minecraft its really laggy and my laptop has 4gb of ram and yes ive updated the drivers
Please help

Also try changing the settings on the esc menu - is it a local or internet game?

have you done the thing where you change your minecraft settings i cant remember what you change them to just youtube stop minecraft from lagging

Start Task manager and make the javaw.exe to high priority. Install Optimine and Optifog. Should be much better.

go to the menu then go to options then video settings and change it to graphics:fast
Smooth lighting:off 3D analyph off, GUI scale: Auto, Render Distance: tiny, Performance: Power Saver, View Bobbing : off, and Advanced OpenGl off and that should solve your problems, hope this helped

I've heard laptops aren't good for MineCraft. I use a desktop and it works perfectly. Try what that guy above me said. I'm sure it'll work.

Change the settings to:
fast graphics
tiny/short render distance
limit framerate
Also, 4gb of RAM isn't a lot. I got this laptop 2 years ago and It has 4gb of RAM.

You may also need a CPU upgrade. Minecraft takes up about 75% of my CPU. with the lowest settings possible.
That is bull. It is all about the specs. There is no difference between a desktop and a laptop. The ONLY difference is that laptops are harder to make due to limited space. Smaller laptops usually have worse specs because they try to be smaller for traveling.
IT IS ALL ABOUT THE SPECS.
fast graphics
