Many people have been asking why I haven't been updating lately. I was thinking I was going to stop updating because of the Leeches and Leakers, but since I enjoy coding this and helping people out, I'll keep updating some more. As long as people keep this topic active and give suggestions and support it, I'll keep updating. As soon as it looks like people don't care, I'll stop updating.

Soo.. This is what I've been working on lately.. 8)

Version 2.0 Beta!

If you're wondering why I already made v2 when v1 hasn't even been updated, this is why.
There was many things I couldn't just add into v1 because of how it was coded and there's a lot of things I want to add that wouldn't work with it. V2 should run faster and smoother. DotNetBar was sort of useless and just wasted space. And v1 was getting too sloppy. There's a few other reasons but that's the main ones.

What's new in 2.0?

  • Lets see if I can remember most of it..
  • Completely re-coded.
  • GUI Changed a bit.
  • Help within the program.
  • Auto-loads Sub Menus.
  • Quick Fill.
  • You can use a single function multiple times.
  • More Welcome Emblems.
  • Dvar section.
  • Customizable controls.
  • Choose any color you want for the Menu and Shader.
  • A lot more Shaders.
  • Syntax Highlighted code.
  • Code Browser.
  • Add your own Functions to the program.
  • And More to come!

How to get the Beta.

Sorry guys, it's a closed Beta this time.

To get the Beta tell me some of these things or whatever else you think will raise your chances. Don't lie, I will check. For better chances, give me proof too.

  • Tell me why you think you deserve it.
  • How have you helped the Community?
  • How do you plan to help the Community in the future?
  • Will you report any bugs you find with SmerFedit to me?
  • Tell me what I can do to make SmerFedit better.
  • Thank the topic.
  • Donate to DarianW @ live.com <- Best way because I'm trying to get my Jtag fixed. Also easiest.
  • Any other info that can help.

Post this as a reply on this thread, don't PM it to me!

If you do get chosen for the Beta, you can not send SmerFedit to anybody. If I catch anyone selling, trading, sharing SmerFedit, I will close the Beta and remotely disable SmerFedit for all Beta testers.

When does the Beta start?

I'm not sure yet, hopefully in a few weeks or so.
I'll update when I have an ETA.

Version 1.0!

Changelog:

Sub Menus actually work now.
Emblem in Welcome Text is Enabled.
Fixed bugs that were happening with check boxes.
A lot more bug fixes.

I've tested everything in 1.0 and it all works fine for me. But if you find any bugs tell me.
I need people to give suggestions to me also! I don't know what you guys want added if you don't tell me.

How to use Sub Menus:

How to use SmerFedit:

If you want to use it for PC just look up how to make an IWD file.

F.A.Q

Q: What do I put in the Input section?
A: If you use the functions from the drop down boxes, you don't put anything there. If you're using your own functions you put Arguments in it. What's an Argument? It's what goes in the parenthesis in the functions, like doSomething(Arg), the "Arg" is the Argument. I'll update this later with a better example.

Q: Where do I get more functions?
A: Search for them.

Q: I can't open _debug.gsc and _cheat.gsc in ff viewer! Halp mehh!?
A: You don't open those files in ff viewer.. You open a common.ff and find _debug.gsc then you copy the codes from the _debug.gsc that SmerFedit made and paste it in the _debug.gsc in ff viewer.. Same thing with _cheat.gsc.

Q: Where do I get a common.ff?
