HDMI covers audio and video. If you mean outputting the audio, then you'll need to buy speakers. Average speakers are about $30-50 from any computer/tech store (Best Buy, Radioshack, etc...)

Yeah if you're connected through HDMI it will provide audio. My monitor has built in speakers but if yours does not, you can get some speakers and plug them into the port on your monitor.

You could use this:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
It's pretty cheap and takes the audio from the A/V, but lets the HDMI transmit video.
Or you can get a VGA cable if your monitor has an input for VGA:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Comes with the red and white cables for audio.

My brother has a monitor and he has speakers. He plugs his red and white into the speakers and then the cord into this xbox. You have to get the right cord to fit into your xbox with the hdmi cable plugged into your xbox360 also.
